TB-500

Synthetic thymosin β4 fragment, research grade. Lyophilised powder.

TB-500 is the synthetic, N-acetylated seven-residue fragment (LKKTETQ) of thymosin β4, a naturally occurring 43-amino-acid polypeptide. The fragment corresponds to the actin-binding domain of the parent protein and is the region most studied in isolation.

Because the fragment is substantially shorter than full-length thymosin β4, it is more tractable to synthesise at high purity and is the form typically used where a defined, reproducible reference standard is required.

Storage and handling

Store the sealed vial in a cool, dry place, out of direct light. The lyophilised powder does not require refrigeration. Stable for 24 months from the manufacture date on the lot certificate.

Ships at ambient temperature, sealed exactly as it is stored. No cold pack and no refrigeration on arrival — keep it dry and away from humidity.

The powder is hygroscopic and the vial is vacuum-sealed under nitrogen. Moisture is what shortens its life, so leave the seal intact until the material is needed.
