Bacteriostatic Water

Sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol. Laboratory diluent.

A general-purpose laboratory diluent: sterile water preserved with 0.9% benzyl alcohol so that a sealed vial can be drawn from more than once without supporting bacterial growth between draws.

Supplied as a standalone laboratory consumable. It is not bundled with, recommended for, or cross-sold against any other product in this catalogue, and nothing here should be read as guidance on what to use it with.

Choice of diluent is a decision for your own validated method. Benzyl alcohol is not compatible with every assay or every analyte.
